It aims to reward <strong>young researchers<\/strong> with entrepreneurial projects mobilizing breakthrough technologies. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p style=\"background-color:#ee272b;color:#ffffff\" class=\"has-text-color has-background wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>WHO CAN APPLY?<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p style=\"color:#000000\" class=\"has-text-color wp-block-paragraph\">The competition is part of the continuum of innovation competitions (upstream of the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.bpifrance.fr\/A-la-une\/Appels-a-projets-concours\/Concours-d-innovation-i-Lab-22e-edition-22543\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\"><strong>i-Lab innovation competition<\/strong><\/a> and <strong><a href=\"https:\/\/www.bpifrance.fr\/A-la-une\/Appels-a-projets-concours\/Appel-a-projets-Concours-d-innovation-i-Nov-38041\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">i-Nov innovation competition<\/a><\/strong>). <br><br>It is reserved for <strong>young researchers<\/strong> or <strong>PhD students<\/strong> who wish to create or co-create a deeptech startup <em>based on<\/em> their research results:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\"><li>&#8220;<strong>Young Doctor<\/strong>&#8220;: from the second year of their thesis or Doctors who have defended for less than five years at the deadline for submitting applications. There are no nationality or age requirements for applicants, provided they meet the legal and regulatory requirements for setting up a business in France.<\/li><li>\u201c<strong>valuing search results<\/strong>\u201d: means with a public research laboratory that supports the project by contributing the results of its research work.<\/li><li>&#8220;<strong>Supported in the entrepreneurial structure of their project<\/strong>&#8221; via support and\/or financial support, by a specialized structure such as OTT (Technology Transfer Organization) or public research incubator. <\/li><\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p style=\"color:#000000\" class=\"has-text-color wp-block-paragraph\">It is important for a young researcher, Doctor to be accompanied by a laboratory before being able to present his file to an <strong>STT<\/strong> or a public research <strong>incubator<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p style=\"background-color:#ee272b;color:#ffffff\" class=\"has-text-color has-background wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>HOW DOES THE SELECTION PROCEDURE WORK?<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p style=\"color:#000000\" class=\"has-text-color wp-block-paragraph\">A first <strong>evaluation of the files<\/strong> is done following the closing of the call for applications, based on the <strong>documents sent<\/strong> by the candidate. The objective is to validate <strong>eligibility<\/strong> for the competition application.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p style=\"color:#000000\" class=\"has-text-color wp-block-paragraph\">Following this, in May, the jury of the i-PhD competition will be held, made up of <strong>entrepreneurs<\/strong>, <strong>investment professionals<\/strong> and start-up support professionals. The jury will select the <strong>winners<\/strong> and the <strong>grand prizes<\/strong> of the competition. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p style=\"color:#000000\" class=\"has-text-color wp-block-paragraph\">The assessment will take into account, on the one hand, the ability to significantly advance technological maturity (progress already obtained and expected progress) and, on the other hand, the potential for valorization of the technology in the form of a <strong>deeptech startup<\/strong>. This evaluation will be supplemented by the associated means of implementation: the <strong>entrepreneurial motivation<\/strong> of the young doctor, the <strong>laboratory resources<\/strong> mobilized to support the project, <strong>the support of the OTT<\/strong> or <strong>the public research incubator<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p style=\"background-color:#ee272b;color:#ffffff\" class=\"has-text-color has-background wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>WHAT ARE THE PRICES ?<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\"><li><strong>1 year of individual and collective support<\/strong>, combining mentoring, coaching and immersive highlights in the Deeptech ecosystem<\/li><\/ul>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\"><li><strong>A video kit promoting the project<\/strong> (<a href=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/watch?v=78D46Q1UO0U\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">watch examples<\/a>)<\/li><\/ul>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\"><li><strong>Integration into the network of innovation competition winners<\/strong>, the Bpifrance network and benefit from high visibility (press articles, interviews, podcasts, testimonial videos and pitches at events, etc.);<\/li><\/ul>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\"><li><strong>Reserved access, subject to favorable examination of the file, to a grant of up to \u20ac30,000<\/strong>, which may cover up to 90% of the projected eligible expenses of the project for natural persons (70% for legal persons);<\/li><\/ul>\n\n\n\n<div class=\"wp-block-buttons is-layout-flex wp-block-buttons-is-layout-flex\">\n<div class=\"wp-block-button\"><a class=\"wp-block-button__link has-background\" href=\"https:\/\/www.bpifrance.fr\/nos-appels-a-projets-concours\/concours-dinnovation-i-phd?utm_source=sendinblue&amp;utm_campaign=Essonne%20Dveloppement%20vous%20adresse%20son%20Fil%20dactualit%20n237&amp;utm_medium=email\" style=\"background-color:#292c61\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\"><strong>APPLY BEFORE MARCH 30, 2023<\/strong><\/a><\/div>\n<\/div>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>To meet the great challenge of doubling the number of Deeptech startups in France, the government in partnership with Bpifrance has launched the i-PhD competition, as part of the Deeptech Plan.
